This famous painting titled “The Scream” was painted by Edvard Munch in 1893, and then again in 1910. I can easily say that this work or art is one of my favorite famous paintings of all time. Many reproductions have been made of this piece, and it is a very popular seller as a print or as a canvas art reproduction. Many art theorists say that the person depicted is not screaming at all, but expressing his feelings of shock and awe at the horror of what is going on around him. I guess we’ll never really know what has him so mortified. Here is another one of my favorite Van Gogh’s.. The colors and the brush stroke patterns that he utilizes in his paintings are just magnificent. I have always wanted to see an original Van Gogh painting in person, and hopefully I will be able to someday. Doctor Gachet looks awfully depressed in this portrayal, or maybe he’s just contemplating something? I really wish that Vincent Van Gogh would have got around to painting more people. I think he does an excellent job expressing emotion through his art. The infamous “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh is arguably one of the most famous paintings ever.. But why? It’s really not that cool, to me anyways… There are tons of other great paintings and art collections that I would much rather spend my time looking at.. However, to give Van Gogh some credit, his portrait collection is most certainly worth it’s weight in gold.
